Website Terms of Use

Product catalogue and retail partner finder

Effective from 8 September 2026

The hobbyroof.cz Website is not an online shop. No purchase, payment or order can be made through it. The information on the Website is provided to help users explore products, obtain supporting documents and find a suitable retailer.

1. Website Operator

The website available at www.hobbyroof.cz (the “Website”) is operated by:

Hobby Roof CZ s.r.o.

Company identification number (IČO): 29287863

Registered office: Pod Rénou 1609/1, 664 91 Ivančice, Czech Republic

registered in the Commercial Register maintained by the Krajský soud v Brně (Regional Court in Brno), Section C, File No. 71095

Email: info@hobbyroof.cz

Telephone: +420 702 164 837

This company is referred to below as the “Operator”. Any person who visits or otherwise uses the Website is referred to below as the “User”.

2. Purpose of the Website and nature of the published information

The Website serves as an information catalogue for Hobby Roof products, a source of general guidance and technical documents, and a tool for finding retail partners and outlets where Hobby Roof products may be available.

The Website does not allow a product to be added to a basket, a binding order to be placed, a payment to be made, or a purchase or other agreement for the supply of a product to be concluded. The display of a product, its description, a photograph or any other information on the Website does not constitute an offer to enter into a contract or an offer to the public. Nor does it constitute a promise of a specific price, stock availability, delivery date or availability from any particular retail partner.

These Terms govern only the use of the Website. They are not terms and conditions for the purchase of products and do not in themselves create a contract of sale, a warranty as to quality or any other obligation to supply a product.

3. Contacting the Operator

The User may contact the Operator by email or telephone, in particular to request general assistance with selection, technical documentation or a referral to a suitable retail partner.

Merely sending an enquiry, measurements, a photograph, drawing or other materials does not constitute an order and does not, without further action, result in the conclusion of a contract. Likewise, a general response, recommendation or indicative calculation provided by the Operator is not a binding offer unless expressly stated otherwise in the particular communication.

A contract may be concluded only following further express negotiations that clearly identify the seller or supplier, the precise subject matter of the supply and the other applicable terms. Any such contract is governed by the documents and terms communicated when it is concluded, not by these Website Terms of Use.

At the User’s request or with the User’s consent, the Operator may forward the enquiry and the necessary contact or project materials to a suitable retail partner. The processing of personal data is governed by the information provided in the “Privacy” section of the Website.

4. Finding a retail partner and purchasing from a retailer

The “Where to buy” section helps the User find an outlet or another retail partner according to the selected criteria and displays the partner’s contact details, address, indicative opening hours or a link to navigation.

Unless expressly stated otherwise for a particular partner, the partner is an independent business. If the User purchases a product from a partner, the contract of sale is concluded between the User and that partner. The partner independently determines, in particular, the price, availability, payment and delivery terms and is responsible for its own sales and installation services.

Before travelling to an outlet, we recommend checking the current opening hours, range, stock availability, price, ordering options and delivery date directly with the partner. Partner information may change, and the Operator cannot guarantee that it will remain continuously up to date.

The User must assert any rights arising from defective performance against the seller with whom the contract of sale was concluded. If a separate contractual warranty as to quality is provided for a product, the User must also follow the relevant warranty document. This does not affect the Operator’s obligations where, in relation to a particular product, it is the manufacturer, the provider of the warranty or the direct seller.

5. Product information

The Operator seeks to ensure that the information on the Website is accurate, clear and up to date. However, the Website contains general catalogue and marketing information. Individual product variants may differ in dimensions, material, shade, surface finish, accessories, technical characteristics, conditions of use, service life and guarantee terms.

Photographs, visualisations and on-screen colour samples are indicative only. Appearance may vary depending on lighting, display settings, production batch, natural material characteristics and permitted manufacturing tolerances.

For the precise identification and use of a specific product, the current documentation intended for that product and variant prevails, in particular the technical data sheet, installation instructions, declaration of performance, safety information, product markings and any warranty document, together with the information expressly agreed with the seller. This does not affect the User’s statutory rights or the terms of any contract already concluded.

If the User identifies any discrepancy between information on the Website, the documentation, product markings or information provided by the seller, the User should request clarification from the Operator or the seller before purchase or installation.

6. Technical documents, design and safe installation

General advice, calculations, instructions and other materials on the Website do not replace project documentation, an on-site survey, a structural or fire-safety assessment, or any other professional assessment required by the nature of the building or by law.

When selecting and using a product, the specific conditions of the building must be taken into account, particularly the supporting structure, pitch, snow and wind loads, moisture, ventilation, fire requirements, substrate, compatibility of individual components and local technical rules. For complex details, load-bearing structures, larger buildings, fire-sensitive applications and work at height, the User should engage an appropriate designer, structural engineer or qualified installation contractor.

The User must follow the documentation for the exact product and its current version, use the prescribed system components and protective equipment, and comply with safety and legal requirements. A product must not be used in any manner for which it is not intended or approved.

7. Downloadable documents

Documents made available in the “Downloads” section may be used for the selection, purchase, installation, maintenance and use of the corresponding product. Before using a document, the User must verify that it relates to the exact product type and variant and that it is the current version.

The Operator may update documentation from time to time in response to product changes, practical experience or changes in legal or technical requirements. An older downloaded copy may therefore be unsuitable for a product purchased at a later date.

8. Rights in Website content

Texts, photographs, graphics, videos, logos, product names, documents, databases, layout and other Website content are protected by intellectual property laws and belong to the Operator or to persons who have authorised the Operator to use them.

The User may browse the Website in the usual manner and, for the User’s own non-commercial purposes connected with the selection, purchase, installation, maintenance or use of products, may save and print materials expressly made available for that purpose on the Website. The User’s statutory rights remain unaffected.

Without the prior consent of the relevant rights holder, Website content may not be used for any other commercial purpose, presented as one’s own, stripped of information about its origin, modified or distributed without authorisation, embedded in a frame that creates the impression of a different operator, or subjected to bulk or automated extraction of content or database data, unless such conduct is expressly permitted by law.

Links may be made in the usual manner to publicly accessible pages of the Website, provided that the link is not misleading and does not create a false impression of cooperation with, approval by or endorsement from the Operator.

9. Rules for using the Website

The User must not use the Website in a manner that violates the law, the rights of third parties, or the security and proper operation of the Website. In particular, the following are prohibited:

  • inserting, transmitting or distributing malicious code or other content capable of disrupting the Website or the devices of other persons;

  • circumventing security measures, attempting to gain unauthorised access or placing an unreasonable load on the Website’s infrastructure;

  • misusing contact details obtained from the Website for unsolicited commercial communications, fraudulent conduct or the unauthorised collection of data;

  • impersonating the Operator, a retail partner or another person, or otherwise misrepresenting the origin of a communication.

The Operator may restrict, to a reasonable extent, the access of a User who breaches these rules where necessary to protect the Website, other users or third parties.

10. Materials submitted by the User

The User should submit only data and materials that are necessary to deal with the enquiry and that the User is entitled to provide. Without the appropriate authorisation, the User must not submit, in particular, personal data concerning third parties, another person’s trade secrets or content that infringes intellectual property rights.

Submitting a photograph, drawing or other material does not transfer ownership or any other right in that material to the Operator. However, the User permits the Operator to store, reproduce and use the material internally to the extent necessary to deal with the enquiry and provide the requested assistance. Separate authorisation is required for any public or advertising use of the material.

11. Links, map services and third-party services

The Website may contain links to retail partners’ websites, map and navigation services, social networks or other third-party services. These services are operated by independent entities and their use is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

The Operator does not have complete control over the availability, security or content of third-party services. The inclusion of a link does not in itself constitute acceptance of responsibility for the content of the destination site or a guarantee of the quality of a third party’s goods or services. If a link is broken or clearly inappropriate, the User may notify the Operator.

12. Availability and changes to the Website

The Operator may reasonably change, supplement, restrict or temporarily suspend the Website’s content, structure and functions, particularly for maintenance, security, technical changes or updates to the product range. The Operator does not guarantee uninterrupted and error-free availability of the Website.

The Operator takes reasonable measures to protect the Website. However, no transmission over the internet can be regarded as entirely risk-free; the User should use up-to-date devices and software and take customary security precautions.

13. Liability

The Operator is liable for loss or damage and for the performance of its statutory obligations to the extent provided by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits consumer rights or any other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for loss or damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, for interference with a person’s life, health or other inherent rights, or statutory liability for a defective product.

To the extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for decisions made solely on the basis of general catalogue information contrary to the current documentation for the specific product, for the conduct of an independent retail partner, or for inaccuracies in information provided by a partner where the Operator did not cause the inaccuracy and could not, despite exercising reasonable care, identify or correct it in time.

The Operator is also not liable for the temporary unavailability of the Website or a third-party service caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control. This does not affect any obligations imposed on the Operator by law in a particular case or expressly assumed by the Operator in a contract or warranty document.

14. Personal data and cookies

Information about how the Operator processes personal data when operating the Website and dealing with enquiries is provided in the Privacy Notice. Preferences for optional cookies can be managed via the “Cookie settings” link in the Website footer.

15. Final provisions

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Where the User is a consumer, this does not affect any mandatory rights granted to the User by the applicable legislation or any protection under the law of the country of the User’s habitual residence where that law applies.

If any provision is invalid, ineffective or unenforceable, this does not affect the remaining provisions, provided that the relevant provision can be severed from them.

The Operator may make reasonable changes to these Terms. A new version takes effect on the date stated in the document and applies to use of the Website from that date. A change to these Terms does not in itself alter any contract already concluded or any rights and obligations that arose previously.

Questions about the Website or these Terms may be sent to info@hobbyroof.co.uk or asked by telephone on +420 702 164 837.
