Hobby Roof plastic products offer two different solutions for transparent and translucent surfaces. Polycarbonate sheets are light, flexible and particularly suitable for roofing, cladding and structures that use the possibility of bending. Acrylic sheets are rigid, straight and excel in high light transmission. The specific material and thickness must always be selected according to the size, method of installation, load, expansion and the desired appearance of the project.

Polycarbonate sheets

Hobby Roof polycarbonate sheets are a light and flexible material for transparent roofing and cladding. They are used, for example, on terraces, canopies, greenhouses, by swimming pools, for glazing, in partitions, suspended ceilings, fencing or light boxes. The range includes cellular sheets in several thicknesses and colours; the correct orientation of the UV-protected side, sealing of the cells and consideration of thermal expansion are essential for functional assembly.

Acrylic sheets

Hobby Roof acrylic sheets are rigid, transparent thermoplastic panels with a flat surface and uniform thickness. The technical specification states a light transmission of 92%, making them suitable for applications where clarity and a clean appearance are important. Compared with glass of the same thickness, the manufacturer states that they weigh approximately half as much and offer around 30 times greater impact resistance.
